Donald W. Brown

Donald W. Brown of Claremore, Ok., has been married to his wife, the former Brenda Gilbert for 42 years. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Mr. Brown served with the l38th Tulsa Air National Guard from 1971 to 1977.

Mr. Brown attended Tulsa Community College and University of Central Oklahoma and received a degree in respiratory therapy becoming director of Respiratory Therapy for Tulsa Regional Hospital in l975.

In 1978 Don started a company providing homecare equipment and oxygen to individuals sent home to continue their medical recovery. Over the next 30 years his medical equipment companies served patients in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arizona and Nevada with 29 locations.

During the same time Mr. Brown also started a Home health nursing company based in N. E. Oklahoma with several branches and over 175 employees that provided skilled and non-skilled nursing care for individuals continuing recovery within their own homes.

Mr. Brown has served on several non-profit boards as well as an officer for several local outdoor organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Oklahoma Master Naturalists, and Safari Club International.

Today Mr. Brown has divested his medical companies and retired to his ranch in N E. Oklahoma. He still manages several small companies he owns and enjoys fishing and hunting with his grandchildren. Don is a member of the local American Legion post 141.
